Our Team

Your Home Instead Senior Care franchise owners possess a heartfelt desire to work with seniors in their community. It's the reason why they were chosen to serve seniors and their families.

When you're ready for help, our caring staff is on call to quickly answer your questions and accommodate your senior services needs.

Kim & Bill Dahlquist - Franchise Owners

Bill was born and raised in Omaha, NE.  He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a BA and Creighton University with a JD.  From 1993 to March 1, 1999, Bill worked in the Douglas County Attorney's office in Omaha NE.  He worked as a law clerk and then as a Deputy County Attorney.  As a Deputy County Attorney, he began working on juvenile cases before moving up to felony cases involving crimes against persons. During his tenure, he successfully prosecuted over 25 felony jury trials including convictions involving felony abuse of vulnerable adults.

In 1998, Bill's great aunt, Emily, became a Home Instead Client in Omaha.  Through Home Instead Senior Care, Emily Dahlquist was able to remain safe in her home where she eventually died of cancer.  In addition, Bill and his four other siblings cared for both parents before they passed as a result of cancer.  These two very personal experiences remain with Bill today as a constant reminder of the challenges and impact of care giving.  After being the caregiver, Bill found himself in need of care following his own diagnosis of cancer in 1999.  Inspired to change his life, he quit the law on March 1, 1999 and purchased a Home Instead Senior Care franchise in Denver.  Since arriving in Denver on March 23, 1999, Bill has become an industry leader by advancing the profession and the home care experience for seniors, their families, and the professional CAREGivers.

In 2005, Kim began to play an active role in Home Instead Senior Care.  Raised in Littleton and a graduate of Arapahoe High School, Kim obtained her bachelor's degree from Colorado State University.  Kim's career included roles in customer service and human resources at respected companies like Kodak and WestStaff.  A born entrepreneur, Kim started and has since sold two successful businesses: Details, a women's boutique in downtown Littleton; and A Paris Street Market, an outdoor antique market.  Kim's own grandmother passed from Alzheimer's disease which continues her passion for CAREGivers and the families they serve who are fighting this disease.
