It gives me great pleasure to share my story of love and dedication which began October 26, 2006 when I became the caregiver for Jeri. Jeri is in advanced stage of Alzheimer's and she is my "special" sweetheart. Her smile sends a magic glow to everyone she meets. Each week I make out her personal menu, making sure she is properly hydrated and recieving high fiber foods in her diet. I shop for Jeri's clothes and other personal items. I organize her clothes closet, take her for hair appointments and to get her nails manicured. I make all doctor appointment and keep open communication with the medical staff and her family. I feel very honored and blessed to be apart of Jeri's life.

In 1988, while working for a local grocery chain, I noticed the need to help the elderly. I saw their frustration and the energy that it took for them to get from their car to the store, shop and back to their car. My heart went out for them and I wanted to help. I decided to return to work after becoming a CNA and this is when I found Home Instead Senior Care. We were a perfect match! I discovered that they care for the seniors just as much as I do. My present client Don, is a retired fireman. The first time we met we instantly bonded. He started telling me stories about his wife and his sons and his day's as a "fireman". I feel blessed to be apart of the ongoing care for my client. It is a nice feeling to be needed and appreciated by both my client's family and Home Instead Senior Care. I think we make a wonderful team!!!!!
