CAREGiver Education Program
Our CAREGiverSM Education Program is unlike any other program in the industry. It provides CAREGivers a beginning and advanced curriculum that informs, educates and equips them to serve clients on a continual basis.
This program revolves around a training DVD that must be viewed before a CAREGiver can perform any caregiving, 4 training guides and corresponding review questions.
The Basic CAREGiver Training Program consists of (must be completed within 30 days of employment):
- Basic CAREGiver Training Guide and review questions
CAREGiver Safety Training Guide and review questions.
The Advanced CAREGiver Training Program consists of:
- Advanced CAREGiver Training Guide and review questions
CAREGiver Activity Training Guide and review questions.
Alzheimer's Training Program
After completing the above training, interested CAREGivers may be selected to take our award winning Alzheimer's CAREGiver Training. This program was developed in partnership with the George G. Glenner School of Dementia Care. This training is divided into three learning segments. The first introduces the CAREGiver to the disease and how to understand its symptoms. The 2nd covers the importance of building a positive CAREGiver/client relationship and how to manage the changing behaviors of an Alzheimer's client. The 3rd segment contains a wealth of specific procedures on how to help a client maintain their independence by keeping active in everyday tasks.
A certificate of completion is awarded to those CAREGivers upon completion of their final exam.
