Home Instead Senior Care Annually Supports
Memory Walk is a national signature fundraising event which takes place annually across the
country. This year the Alzheimer's Association's Colorado Springs office is
celebrating its 14th Annual Memory Walk®. This community walk will take place
starting at 8:30am on Saturday, September 6 at America the Beautiful Park.
The dollars
raised from the Colorado Springs Memory Walk® helps us continue to provide our
vital Alzheimer's services and support programs throughout EI Paso, Teller,
Park and Elbert Counties. Funds also go towards advancement of research and
finding a cure.
The State
Chapter's goal is to raise over $1.3 million dollars from the twelve Colorado
Memory Walks, with $161,100 coming from the Colorado Springs Memory Walk® We
cannot do this alone and we are looking for members within our business and
community groups who can serve as leaders in gaining participation and
involvement in our walk and fight for a cure.
So, what's involved in being a
leader of Memory Walk? It's simple! Ask members to be on your team - it's free
of charge and there is no minimum amount to fundraise (but the more you raise,
the better the prizes!). Make an announcement in your work or work group or you
may want to post flyers or send emails to those you know or ask a friend to
help you!
Please help
support our cause and our community by creating a team for the Alzheimer's
Association Memory Walk®. We are asking that you talk to your friends,
families, and work associates to join this important cause. Perhaps one work
group might challenge another to form "the best team"!
