About the Home Instead CAREGivers in Omaha

When Home Instead Senior Care co-founder Paul Hogan interviewed the company's first prospective CAREGivers in his mother's kitchen, his grandmother, the inspiration behind Home Instead Senior Care, always listened from the other room. As she made herself present during the interview, which she always did, Paul carefully watched how each prospective CAREGiver interacted with his grandmother. This observation was his way of ensuring that each prospective CAREGiver had the compassion necessary to serve Omaha's seniors.

Although Grandma Manhart is no longer with us, we remain dedicated to ensuring that every client is matched with a CAREGiver who is specially trained and naturally skilled to meet each client's care and companionship needs.

Watch one CAREGiver explain the dedication and compassion necessary to care for seniors:

The Home Instead CAREGivers in Omaha are passionate about going above and beyond the needs of Omaha's seniors to creating lasting and meaningful relationships with their clients. All CAREGivers are thoroughly screened, extensively trained, insured and bonded, professional, and reliable.

In addition, Home Instead CAREGivers are:

  • Effective: Nearly all (99 percent) said that being involved in the lives of their clients has helped clients remain independent and in their homes longer.
  • Experienced: Three out of four CAREGivers have experience in caring for an older family member, half have cared for older friends, and one-third have cared for both older relatives and friends.
  • Trained: Through our exclusive training programs, nearly 100 percent of our CAREGivers improve their caregiving effectiveness.
  • Welcomed: CAREGivers are nearly always welcomed by their clients, often from the very first point of contact.
  • Motivated: Ninety-five percent of CAREGivers get their highest job satisfaction from helping others.
  • Informed: The majority (83 percent) of CAREGivers regularly read work-related newspapers and materials to learn how to be more effective.
Confident: Almost all CAREGivers say their work contributes to Home Instead Senior Care being the world's most trusted source of companionship and home care for older adults.

One unique aspect about Omaha CAREGivers is that they are exposed to extensive training and ongoing educational opportunities with co-founder Lori Hogan. Attending the monthly CAREGiver meetings at the Omaha office, Lori offers a global perspective to Home Instead employees by sharing best practices from franchises around the world. Her insight is based on her experience with franchises from Ireland to South Korea.

Whether your elderly loved one needs assistance for a few hours a day or requires 24-hour continual care, our compassionate CAREGivers are ready to help.
