A Tradition of Great Caregiving

At Home Instead Senior Care, we reward our local CAREGivers with CAREGiver of the Month and CAREGiver of the Year awards to show our appreciation for all they do. Home Instead, Inc. also recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride in the fact that the Home Instead Senior CareSM franchise network recognizes, appreciates and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

Jeri Lundblad, May 2011

Jeri is our CAREGiver of the month for May. Jeri decided to join Home Instead Senior Care in March of 2008. She worked as a social worker and decided to take early retirement. Jeri had heard about us through her previous job and thought that she would be a good fit for the position. Jeri has worked with several clients over the years and has built some wonderful relationships with not only them but their family members. One client in particular she loved hearing the stories about her Italian days when she was growing up and all the dancing that she did. She really built a wonderful relationship with her until the day that she passed. Jeri is always so patient with each of her clients that she works with. She does a fabulous job of redirecting and finding tricks that work with each of her clients. Jeri we are so excited to have you working as a CAREGiver for Home Instead Senior Care.

Pat Radde, April 2011

Our April CAREGiver of the month was Pat Radde. Pat first came to Home Instead Senior Care in February of 2010. Pat has such a passion for helping others that she decided that instead of retirement she just couldn’t stay at home and instead found our company. Pat says that, “God wanted me here to help others.” Pat enjoys meeting so many interesting clients and being part of their lives. She understands that sometimes as a CAREGiver we are there for respite for families to relive some of the stress that comes with taking care of a loved one. Pat is very active and loves to keep her mind busy and often times likes to keep her clients just as active. We are so happy that you have touched the lives of so many during your first year with HISC. We can’t wait to hear even more stories in the years to come. Pat you ROCK!

Micki Marr, March 2011

Micki was selected as our March CAREGiver of the month. Micki came to us in November of 2009 and we have been blessed to have her working with our clients ever since. Micki currently works with two clients that she just adores. She is always thinking outside of the box and has even had several outings with one of her clients to Lorenzen Garden’s and a walk across the Pedestrian Bridge. Micki loves when she can reminisce about a client’s past with them. She has been such a blessing to these two families to know that someone trusting, compassionate, patient and creative is taking care of their loved one. Micki has such a heart for helping others and often does it in her spare time too! She just can’t stop. Micki you are truly special and we want to thank you for all you do!

She learned so much from this particular client and he even passed on his passion for classical music onto Judy. Often times, this client and Judy would sit and look through old year books and reminisce about his life. Judy remarks that CAREGiver’s just need to go into an clients home and listen to them to find out what they truly enjoy. Judy does embody the heart of CAREGiving and understands the importance of listening.
